Cocoa Beach, with a population of 12,800 is truly a unique place with great diversity! Cocoa Beach is home to many thousands of real estate owners from all walks of life. Cocoa Beach Culture


Arts and culture are very important to round out a Cocoa Beach's character and Cocoa Beach is an important part of Brevard County's cultural scene. The annual Space Coast Art Festival in downtown Cocoa Beach over the Thanksgiving weekend. This event draws artists from all over the country to display and offer for sale many varieties of art. It is also a social gathering where locals are able to get together with present and former residents who visit the area over the weekend.



Cocoa Beach Education


The City has three public schools including Cocoa Beach High School and two elementary schools plus two faith-based schools. The City of Cocoa Beach has within its city limits three public schools (two elementary and one junior-senior high school) and two faith-based schools. Cocoa Beach is part of the Brevard County School District. The Brevard County School District is one of the top ten districts in the State of Florida based on the May 2003 Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) scores.

In the May 2003 edition of Newsweek Magazine, Cocoa Beach High School was one of the top 200 public high schools in the United States. CBHS was ranked number 188 out of over 26,000 public high schools in the United States. Fifteen other Florida schools were included in the top 200. CBHS offers an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.

New and expanding businesses account for the 4,300 new jobs becoming available to homeowners in Brevard County between 1996 and 1997.
